Plate sawing is the most efficient way to cut thick or large plate sections into smaller ready to machine blanks. We can process any metal plates up to 12 by 12 feet and 30 inches thick with multiple plate saws. Our high speed aluminum plate saw holds a tolerance of +/- 0.020” while our alloy and stainless steel plate saw can hold +/- 0.050” tolerance. With multiple saws we can deliver high volume cut jobs as soon as the next day.

Shearing is a precision method that cuts thin sheets or plates of metal along straight lines. Shearing uses a sharp blade to create clean cuts without producing heat-affected zones, which maintains the material's structural integrity. Our capabilities include steel, aluminum, and copper up to 144 inches wide and 0.250 inches thick and +/- 0.063-inch tolerances. Sheared parts generally undergo secondary forming, welding, or assembly processes.

Band sawing uses a continuous blade to cut through bars, rods, or tubes to create straight or angled cuts in solid and hollow materials. Our equipment can handle steel, aluminum, and titanium widths up to 18 inches with a cut diameter of 20 inches and tolerances of +/- 0.030 inches. We frequently use this method to produce cut-to-length stock or preforms with precise dimensions and smooth finishes.
